It begins with Thomas Haase, the creator of Lavera natural cosmetics, who as a child suffered from neurodermatitis. Conventional creams brought no relief, so from an early age he took an active interest in ingredients and alternative skin care options. As a student he opened a health food shop and cultivated plants and produced herbal extracts and developed his first formulations. After working ten years on developing cosmetics, Thomas started Lavera. A small family concern on a farm near Hanover, Lavera has developed into a company employing over 40 people at its own premises in the beautiful Deister hills region near Hanover, Germany.
